July 2002. I ordered the above combo when the 'S' series was about to be released, paid for it and proudly put it on Mum's Corolla. An Uncle saw me drive around with the new plates and rang VicRoads. Apparently, he had what you see in the pic, sitting in a drawer waiting to be put on a new car. I ordered a pair of slimlines but immediately put them on. VicRoads checked their records and realised they stuffed up bigtime. They told the Uncle, "We'll contact the other owner and cancel his plates as he ordered his after you did." Uncle told them not to do that because he knew the other owner who is a friend but demanded something to be done. Some bigshot then contacted Uncle and gave him an amazing offer: personalised plates of any available combination and style for free. It was a win-win. These plates will go on every car that I ever own.
